Mera’s role in the upcoming sequel is reportedly going to include a lot of action scenes and stunts.

These parts of the role would require Heard to be extremely fit in order to keep herself and her colleagues safe.

YouTube scooper Popcorn Planet added quoted a source saying Heard had been fired, “but can not confirm it yet”.

Conversely, The Hollywood Reporter writer Ryan Parker told his followers on Twitter Heard had not been fired.

He wrote: “Told by a reliable source that reports of Amber Heard being fired off Aquaman 2 are inaccurate.”

If Heard is out of the picture the film would be in need of a new Mera actor.

Further reports from Yahoo! say Heard will be replaced by Momoa’s former Game of Thrones pal, Emilia Clarke.
