Queen Camilla dazzles in black lace dress and expensive earrings

Camilla Parker Bowles looks sophisticated whenever she steps out in public, and tonight was no exception. The Queen Consort was in Camden, north London, on Monday evening, October 17, to attend the Booker Prize for Fiction ceremony with other well-known British figures.

For the occasion, Queen Camilla opted for a black dress covered in thick lace.

The garment had long sleeves and reached the royal’s knees. Its neckline as slightly v-shaped.

The Queen Consort made a statement in all black, but her accessories stood out.

She donned dangling, diamond earrings from one of her favourite jewellery brands, Van Cleef & Arpels.

The royal’s earrings were the Magic Alhanbra Diamond earrings, which retailed for a huge $47,000 on the brand’s website, which is the equivalent to £41,414 at the time of writing.

The white gold and diamond earrings feature the recognsiable clover leaf-inspired motif of Van Cleef & Arpels.

This is a brand Queen Camilla wears often – not only has she regularly worn the dangling earrings to special occasions over the last few years, she has worn another piece by the label even more frequently.

This is the Van Cleef & Arpels Vintage Alhambra yellow-gold agate bracelet. Camilla’s features blue clover leaves, but there are multiple colours to choose from.

DON’T MISS:

The bracelet is available to buy at Selfridges, but it is another costly piece, priced at £3,950.

Describing the bracelet, which is made of 18ct gold and agate, Selfridges said: “Feeling lucky? Well, you will be with this Vintage Alhambra bracelet from Van Cleef & Arpels by your side.

“Designed with the brand’s first iconic Alhambra design – a four-leaf clover (that’s practically overflowing with luck) – each agate motif is bordered with delicate beading and linked on a fine cable chain.

“Handcrafted in yellow-gold, it will sit perfectly alongside the matching necklace while doubling your luck in the process.”

Black was an interesting choice for the Queen Consort as she usually prefers blues, greens, and beiges, but others at the Booker Prize for Fiction also wore black.

One of these was singer Dua Lipa, who was seen chatting to the royal. The pop icon donned a black velvet dress with long gloves.

The ceremony this evening was the first Booker Prize to take place in person since 2019, due to the pandemic.

Shortlisted authors NoViolet Bulawayo, Percival Everett, Shehan Karunatilaka, Claire Keegan and Elizabeth Strout will all be in attendance tonight, with Alan Garner attending virtually.

Camilla will be presenting the winner of the £50,000 prize with a trophy, in one of her first public engagements as Queen Consort.
