Kate Middleton style: Lookalike of Duchess of Cambridge’s scalloped cardigan spotted

Kate Middleton often wears a mixture of high street labels as well as designers. Throughout the pandemic, the Duchess of Cambridge continued her royal duties through virtual video calls and while she was only seen on screen from the waist up, fans have been desperate to find out where they can buy the same or a duplicate of her outfits. One garment which caused quite a stir was a white scalloped cardigan and it is no surprise it sold out very quickly online. Here are some lookalike alternatives for a fraction of the price.

Kate and Prince William invited volunteers from the crisis text line Shout85258 to join them for a virtual meeting.

The Duchess was seen wearing a white V neck cardigan and the neckline was a scalloped edge.

The cardigan is thought to be from Sandro, one of Kate’s favourite brands.

The fine-knit sports a three-quarter-length sleeve, a straight hem that is actually cropped at the waist and exposed copper-tone buttons.

It is priced at £159.000 on Selfridges&Co’s website and is very low in stock across all sizes.

For those who don’t want to splash the cash but want to achieve the same look, there are a few alternatives on the high street.

Another of Kate’s favourite brands, Boden, has launched a knit with a similar wavy neckline.

Costing £90.00 the scalloped trim cardigan comes in four colours, Coconut Ice, Navy, Mink Melange and Cherry Red.

It too comes in a variety of colours; Frosted Blue, Navy, Azalea, Grey Melange and Conker, but Conker has sold out in all sizes according to the website.

This classic cardigan is made from a luxurious blend of merino wool and cotton.

With the cardigan meant to be worn buttoned up to the top, across the neckline and shoulders, there is a scalloped bib detail.

It is long sleeve and the length finishes at top hip.

Kate’s influence in fashion has seen her inspire bands.

Back in September 2019, the royal wore a striking red and white printed dress by Michael Kors, known as the Carnation Dress.

It was a past-season buy that she first work in 2018, but felt it was the perfect outfit to drop Princess Charlotte off on her first day at school.

Since being photographed in the a-line shirt dress, Micheal Kors now stocks many dresses similar to the one Kate wore – billowing sleeves and a belted dress.

And they have been named after the Duchess.

On Net-A-Porter, Michael Michael Kors lists a Kate belted snake-print crepe midi dress for £235.
