Kate Middleton news: Duchess of Cambridge recycles £400 jacket and jewellery for video

Kate Middleton, the wife of Prince William, 38, has shared clips from video calls with teachers and staff from Ribbon Academy, County Durham. She praised the school which has been holding classes for the children of key workers while supporting home learning.

Like many parents, Kate and Prince William have been homeschooling their children during the coronavirus pandemic.

With most schools currently closed, parents have been faced with the task of ensuring their children continued to learn.

This is no easy feat and even the Duchess of Cambridge has opened up about her struggles with this.

As part of Children’s Mental Health Week, Kate spoke to teachers at the school.

The royal made the call from her Norfolk residence of Anmer Hall, where she is currently in lockdown.

She said: “Schools are doing an amazing job, as parents you really recognise what a vital role you do play for us on a day to day basis – having remote learning as well.”

Clips from the videos were shared on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Instagram page, named ‘KensingtonRoyal’.

The clip was captioned: “What an inspiring group of teachers!

“Although it’s Children’s Mental Health Week, it’s hugely important we ensure our teachers are supported as well.

“@_Place2Be have been champions of mental health in schools across the UK and continue to provide support to those facing challenges throughout lockdown.

During the video call, Kate showed off her thrifty side by recycling a stunning tweed jacket.

The coat had a structured style and was buttoned up to the top. It was blue with white stitching throughout.

The timeless piece of clothing was from New-Zealand designer Rebecca Taylor and it is not the first time Kate has worn it.

The mother-of-three will often show off her relatable fashion sense by rewearing designs many times.

The jacket, which was on sale for around £400, was previously spotted on Kate during an engagement in 2017.

Kate completed the look with simple make-up, opting for a fresh slick of bronzer and lashings of mascara.

Veering away from her signature bouncy blow-dry, Kate pulled her hair back into a half-up half-down do.

She wore a pair of subtle drop gold earrings to pull her outfit together.
