John Travolta net worth: Grease star has astounding fortune – actor owns 6 aircrafts

John Travolta began his career in New York in theatre, before jumping to television and film after moving to Los Angeles. Notable films include roles in Grease, Pulp Fiction and Hairspray. The actor has an eye-watering net worth and lives in a stunning home situated on its own runway.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, the 67-year-old is worth a whopping £200 million.

After dropping out of school at the age of 17, John moved to New York where he managed to kickstart his career at a young age.

He secured a role on Broadway in the show Over Here!, as well as in the travelling cast of Grease.

After relocating to Los Angeles, the actor’s first significant role was in the 1976 horror film called Carrie.

Away from films and television, the actor has also made a name for himself in new projects.

In 1993, he purchased a £3 million home in LA’s Brentwood neighbourhood and it was sold in 2020 for a huge £17 million.

He also owns a 50-acre estate in Florida which has its own runway large enough for John, who is an avid aviator, to operate his multiple aircraft.

The estate is also home to 16 garages for his huge collection of cars as well as a vast array of adjoining bedrooms.

John owns six of his very own aircrafts, which have set the actor back millions.

His private airplanes consist of three Gulfstream jets, a USAir Boeing 727, a Boeing 707-138 and a Bombardier Challenger 601.

A Boeing aircraft can cost anywhere between £5 million and £30 million dependent on specification.

In his personal life, he married actress Kelly Preston in 1991 and the couple had three children together.

Tragically, his wife died last year after battling breast cancer.
