Joe Biden handed humiliating nickname as polling rating collapses | World | News

Sky News Australia host Paul Murray ridiculed President Joe Biden for a polling collapse which has seen his favourability tumble by over 10 percent in five months. It comes as the trust of the American people in their President’s ability to lead appears to be dwindling fast as his handling of the economy, Coronavirus, and withdrawal from Afghanistan has been slammed by voters in a devastating poll.

Paul Murray said: “For a long time I have called Joe Biden ‘Swampy Joe!’

“Because he is the ultimate swamp creature of Washington: long time in the Senate, Vice President, now of course President of the United States.

“But if you have a look at his opinion polls, we should probably be calling him ‘Slidin Biden’!”

The Australian host noted this is because of a recent Quinnipiac survey conducted in the USA which has seen Mr Biden’s approval rating plummet from 49 percent favourable in May to 38 percent in June.

His legacy of Afghanistan has seen 37 percent of those polled approve of Mr Biden as Commander in Chief of the US Military.

But a massive 58 percent disapprove of him in the role.

Rasmussen’s most recent poll suggested Biden’s approval rating currently stands at -12 percent.

Joe Biden has been US president since January 21, 2021.
