Since moving to Miami with her husband Jared Kushner, speculation has been rife about whether the former First Daughter will run for the Senate seat. Rumours over Ivanka’s post-White House career erupted last month with analysts predicting her possible political goals.
Ivanka and Jared moved to Miami, Florida, in January as President Joe Biden was sworn into office replacing Donald Trump.
Mr Rubio is up for re-election in 2022 and experts believed a challenge from Ivanka could have caused great divide within the GOP.
But a source close to Ivanka told the Daily Mail that the former First Daughter reached out to Mr Rubio to tell him she will not challenge his seat.
Mr Rubio’s office also told the paper Ivanka had shut down the speculation.
In a statement to the newspaper, Ivanka praised Mr Rubio as a “good personal friend”.
She said: “Marco has been a tremendous advocate for working families, a good person friend and I know he will continue to drive meaningful progress on issues we both care deeply about.”
Nick Iacovella, spokesman for Mr Rubio, also told the paper: “Marco and Ivanka did speak a few weeks ago.
“Ivanka offered her support for Marco’s re-election and they had a great talk.”

During her father’s four years in the White House, Ivanka served as Advisor to the President and the Director of Office of Economic Initiatives and Entrepreneurship.
At the time Kate Bennett, CNN White House correspondent, said sources in the White House told her the “horrific images” of the past several weeks will haunt Ivanka for the rest of her career.
She said: “That has [Ivanka’s husband] Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump in a bit of a panic as they look to their future.
“I talked to a lot of sources today who say they’re questioning everything now, from where they’re going to live after the White House to what their careers will be.”
Ms Bennett added that Trump’s administration’s collapse will make it “very difficult for them to tout any achievements they’ve made inside this administration”.
