High street retailers change opening hours whenever a bank holiday comes around. Many shops close completely on Easter Sunday, with retailers that are currently permitted to be serving customers reopening on Easter Monday, albeit with limited opening hours.
Home Bargains has been designated as an essential retailer under current guidance from the Government.
With more than 500 stores across the UK, the popular retailer has remained open throughout the latest national lockdown.
The Home Bargains website reads: “We are working tirelessly to ensure that we’re keeping our stores fully stocked and to continue to provide customers with the great products and service you’ve come to expect.
“We are taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety of everyone shopping and working in our stores.”
Customers are encouraged to not use cash and pay by card where possible – under current rules, the contactless limit has been extended to £45 per transaction.
Face coverings are also mandatory in all shops and on public transport across the UK.
Non-essential retailers will be permitted to open their doors from April 12 in England, and dates vary across the UK.
