The former President took the microphone at a wedding in his Palm Beach, Florida resort to lay into his successor on Saturday. Mr Trump has issued a series of statements from his post-Presidency office, and in appearances at Mar-a-Lago.
In a two minute video at a wedding for John and Megan Arrigo, Mr Trump asked the wedding crowd “do you miss me yet?”, before rattling off a list of complaints about Mr Biden.
He told the room: “The border’s not good.
“The border’s the worst anyone has ever seen it.
“What’s happening to the kids. They are living in squalor.”
On the same day, Mr Trump appeared on Fox News to say he plans on visiting the Mexican border within the next few weeks.
He said: “A lot of people want me to (visit).
“The Border Patrol and the people of ICE want me there and have asked me to go. I feel I sort of owe it to them.”
The former President also said the border situation is very “dangerous” and accused Mr Biden of undoing his “remain in Mexico” policy.
Mr Biden’s administration expelled more than half of the migrants arriving at the US-Mexico border in the three weeks leading up to March 17, using a Trump-era health order, CNN reported.
Customs and Border Protection encountered some 103,000, and expelled more than 61,000 under the health authority known as “Title 42”.
The President said on his first press conference the “vast majority, the overwhelming majority of people coming to the border and crossing are being sent back”.
Ted Cruz, Texan Republican Senator, posted a video showing his visit to the US/Mexico border.
He said of his experience: “On the other side of the river we have been listening to and seeing cartel members – human traffickers – right on the other side of the river waving flashlights, yelling and taunting Americans, taunting the border patrol.”
Residents in the Rio Grande Valley have said no such crisis exists, despite Mr Cruz’s claim that the border situation is a direct result of the Biden administration’s immigration policies.
