Avengers Secret Wars: Nicolas Cage ‘in talks’ to return as Ghost Rider in multiverse epic | Films | Entertainment

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness delighted Marvel fans with its incredible cameos of superheroes from non-MCU movies. We saw Sir Patrick Stewart reprising Professor X and even Anson Mount as Black Bolt.

Now with Avengers Secret Wars confirmed to be concluding the MCU’s Multiverse Saga in 2025, rumours abound of more variants popping up in the reality-clashing blockbuster.

Marvel Studios now own the rights to Fantastic Four and X-Men, so seeing more actors from the Fox superhero movies reprising their roles is no doubt a big plan.

There have been rumours of the likes of Ben Affleck playing his Daredevil again and even Captain America star Chris Evans playing his Human Torch.

And now the latest news is that Nicolas Cage is in talks to hop back on his motorbike as Johnny Blaze himself, Ghost Rider.

The Ghost Rider movies may not have been that successful for Cage, but the star is having something of a renaissance in his career. Jerry Bruckheimer has even admitted he’s sent a script of National Treasure 3 to the star hoping to court him.

The cult movie actor tends to be up for all sorts of projects so here’s hoping his Johnny Blaze is coming back.

Avengers Secret Wars hits cinemas on November 7, 2025 and will follow Avengers The Kang Dynasty on May 2, 2025.
